Gallent Limited does not charge any monthly subscription fee, or penalise customers for high usage. Our simple pricing policy means you only pay for the calls you make and by using our 0845 number you will only ever pay for the cost of a local call.

Faster access
The major benefit of a Gallent Limited service is speed. At popular times customers using standard Internet Service Providers will find the speed of their connection drops as the number of users per 100 increases from 1 to 20 - 30. This increases the contention on the network (which is like congestion on a motorway causing traffic to travel slowly) and the service slows down. At Gallent Limited because we can offer a contention ratio of 1:1, whether you use the Internet at a busy time or quiet time, you will always get the speed that your modem supports. E.g. a 56K modem will always connect at 56K.
Cheaper phone bills
Internet users incur a cost for every minute they are online. By connecting at a faster rate, page delivery will be quick, downloads will be rapid and the time spent online will be less. The result being you pay less for accessing the same data.
Same charge per minute
All Gallent Limited customers will access the services using a 0845 number. The cost of the calls are charged at a local rate, which means customers will pay the same or less than other ISP's. The charges associated with these numbers as follows:

Just follow these 4 easy steps:
1) Find the option, on your computer, that allows you to create a new internet connection. This will normally be marked "internet connections" or similar if you are using windows. Follow the setup instructions/wizard but select setup your connection "manually". When asked for a name for the new connection type in gallent.
2) When prompted for a phone number type 0845 1231779.
3) When prompted for a Username type gallent.
4) When prompted for a password type gallent.
FAQ But I am already on the internet why do I need another connection?
It is a well known fact that internet connections do not always work this can be for a number of reasons.
This connection is non-contended. This, in brief, means that you get a connection that is not shared with anyone else. Ask your current ISP what the contention is. Ours is 1:1. If your current contention is 1:50 or worse 1:100 then switch to us where one user = one connection, not 50 or 100 users sharing every connection.
Happy with your current ISP or have broadband? No problem just set this connection up as an alternative. Then if your current connection is ever down you have a backup way of getting on the internet. To begin, click the Windows Start menu, select 'Settings', select
'Dial-up Networking'.

In the window that opens, click on the 'Network and Internet Connections' icon.

On the next screen, choose the 'Create a new connection'. The 'New Connect Wizard' will now open, click 'Next'.

On this screen select 'Connect to the Internet' and click 'next'.
|
Select 'Set up my connection manually' and click 'next'.
|
Choose 'Connect using a dial-up modem' and click 'next'.
|
Type a name for your new ISP Name, such as 'Gallent', and click 'next'.

Type in 08451231779 into the 'Telephone Phone number box', and click 'next'.

Choose the 'Anyones use' option, and click 'next'.
|
On this screen, type in your username i.e. 'gallent' and your password i.e. 'gallent'. Select the first two check boxes and leave the last one blank. Click 'next'. |
Select the tick box to create a shortcut to the desktop and click 'Finish'.

To use your new Gallent Communications Limited connection click on the shortcut on your desktop. |
Even if you have Broadband you can use the Gallent Dialup service as a spare service in case your broadband service goes down. You will need a separate telephone line though as dialup does not work on lines once they have been allocated for broadband use. |
